Bonita Allen enters her first season as Head Softball Coach at Solano Community College, bringing extensive experience across NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NAIA, travel softball, and professional competition. A former collegiate student-athlete and professional player in Australia, Allen has established a reputation for developing student-athletes and building competitive, high-character programs.

Prior to joining Solano, Allen coached at the NCAA Division I level, where she helped develop multiple conference award recipients and All-Conference performers. At Morehead State, student-athletes under her guidance earned All-OVC Second Team honors, two OVC All-Newcomer Team selections, OVC Co-Pitcher of the Week recognition on two occasions, and two Student-Athlete of the Week awards. Additionally, a player established a new program single-season record for hits.

Previously at Alabama State, Allen helped guide the program to a third-place conference tournament finish while contributing to a reduction in team ERA from 3.92 to 2.95. Student-athletes earned conference honors including Co-Hitter of the Week, Hitter of the Week, Newcomer of the Week, and Co-Newcomer of the Week recognition, while a pitcher finished third in the conference in strikeouts.

In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Allen has extensive success in elite travel softball and player development, helping numerous athletes advance to collegiate programs nationwide, including five players who went on to make multiple NCAA Regional Tournament appearances during their collegiate careers.

Allen's coaching philosophy emphasizes accountability, discipline, resilience, and competitive excellence while preparing student-athletes for success in the classroom, on the field, and beyond graduation.
